Experience

I currently have 8 tuttees.For these 8 tuttees, four of them are in secondary and four of them are in junior college. For the secondary tuttees, 3 of them are in secondary 4 and 1 of them are in secondary 1. For the secondary 1 student, i am teaching Science and maths. For the secondary 4 student, i am teaching physics and chemistry. For the students that are at junior college level, i am teaching H1/H2 maths and H1/H2 Chemistry.I have 7 year of teaching experience and i have been tutoring students since my university days and have been tutoring maths, physics, chemistry from primary school level to JC/IB level. I have one year of experience in handling ADHD student. I personally follow an intuitive approach in teaching, emphasizing on the understanding of the theory rather than memorization by rote. I have won a silver in Singapore Chemistry Olympiad in 2008 and won a few distinction in Australian Maths Competition in my secondary school days.

Mrs Hong is a Chinese teacher from a China school. She graduated from Quanzhou Teaching Academy in Fujian, China（中国福建省泉州市师范学院) in 1987. After graduation, she became a Chinese teacher at the Nanan City Primary School (Fujian, China） for 8 years. Mrs Hong immigrated to Singapore in 1995, and became a full time Chinese tuition teacher.

Her tuition students come from Ai Tong, Pei Chun public school, Raffles Primary School, Nanyang Primary, Hwa Chong, Nanyang Girls’ High, Raffles Girls’ Secondary, Anglo-chinese (Independent), Dunman high, Anglican High, Catholic high, Raffles Junior College and National Junior College.

She is very familiar with the Singapore school syllabus and examinations. Her students have achieved excellent results. Many of her students are in prestigious secondary schools.

Also teaching IB Syllabus Chinese B, have taught ACJC and SOTA IB Syllabus Chinese B. Familiar with IBDP Chinese B format. IB Students may inquire about lessons.
