Experience

I have taught tuition at a private tuition centre, specialising in English and Science for secondary school students. 7 students I have taken on have improved their English/Science grades from a D-F range to a A-B range over the period of a year. Besides this, I have given volunteer-based tuition for over 4 years, with students ranging from primary school to JC students.

As a student, I understand the struggles of studying and will be able to confer the optimal studying methods that have worked for me. In RI, I managed to score a high 87.5/90 for my A levels, and my studying methods have proven effective all the way into university, where I consistently top my course with multiple dean's lists and scholarship offers, as well as a book prize. My focus for teaching will be helping my students score as many as marks as possible while maximising the efficiency for learning.

I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation by first teaching individual topics in detail.
